When our cat Tigger was diagnosed with diabetes over 10 years ago, we quickly realized that the standard advice — checking blood sugar once a week at the vet — just wasn’t enough.
So we took a different path.
We learned to test his blood sugar at home, track insulin patterns, monitor food intake, and adjust doses based on what the data showed. We called our system the Tigger Tracker, and it became a lifeline for us — and for him.
Tigger has lived a full, adventurous life because of that care. From cross-country RV travels to recovering after being lost for days in a strange city, he’s not just our pet — he’s proof that diabetic animals can thrive with the right tools and attention.
We built WhiskerStats to give other pet owners the tools and knowledge they need to confidently care for their diabetic cats and dogs — without being at the mercy of guesswork or rigid vet schedules.
